Dear Members and Friends of Shaare Tefillah,

We are pleased to announce that Shaare Tefillah, under the leadership of Rabbi Kenneth Schiowitz, will hold services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in our shul located at 510 Claremont Avenue. We will be holding two concurrent minyanim – one in the Main Sanctuary and one in the Beit Midrash.

Due to increased demand and significant growth of our membership, we will once again be instituting a staggered ordering system based on membership status for the purchase of seats.

  • Full Members will be able to purchase seats beginning on:
    July 20, 2015
  • Associate Members will be able to purchase seats beginning on:
    August 10, 2015
  • Non-Members and Friends will be able to purchase seats beginning on:
    August 24, 2015

For all seats purchased before August 24, 2015, the following discounted prices will apply. Please note seat prices have not increased and are the same price as they have been for the past 2 years:

FULL MEMBERS:                 $150.00 PER SEAT

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS:     $200.00 PER SEAT

NON-MEMBERS:                  $225.00 PER SEAT

YOUTH PROGRAM:             $50.00 PER CHILD (NO CHARGE FOR FULL MEMBERS)

All seats will be priced at the Non-Membership rate of $225.00 per seat for all reservations received after August 24, 2015, regardless of membership status.

The Youth Program for children age two (2) and older will be free for Full Members whose reservations are received prior to August 24, 2015. The fee for Associate Members and Non Members is $50.00 per child.  Additionally, the $50.00 per child fee will also apply to Full Members for any reservations made after August 24, 2015. Please note there will be a $100.00 charge per child, regardless of membership level, for all reservations received after September 1, 2015. Shaare Tefillah’s Youth Program is only available to those who purchase seats and are in attendance for the High Holidays.

Due to the growth in our membership and the high demand for seats, we will no longer be offering a family cap for Full Members. However, Full Members may still purchase seats for their immediate family, as well as extended family, at the Full Member rate of $150.00 per seat for all reservations received prior to August 24, 2015. For those Full Members that may be financially impacted due to the removal of the cap, we ask that you please reach out to our Treasurer, Jon Mantell, who can assist with financial arrangements for seat purchases. We kindly ask that you only reserve seats for those who will need them. We have a limited number of seats and want to ensure we can fulfill the needs of the entire Kehillah.

Those attending our minyanim  who choose to have their children sit with them must purchase seats for their children.  Seat prices for children are the same as noted above.

All reservations must be made online through our website. The High Holiday reservation form, including seat reservations and youth program reservations, can be found by clicking www.shaaretefillah.org/hh2015

Seats will be assigned. If you have a specific seating request, please note it where indicated on the online reservation form. We will do our best to fulfill all requests on a first come first served basis.

Payment for seats can be made with a credit card through our website or by check. All reservations must be paid in full prior to September 1, 2015. After that deadline, we will no longer hold reserved seats so please be sure to get your reservations and payment in on time. If you require an alternate payment plan, it is imperative that you make arrangements with our Treasurer, Jon Mantell at treasurer@shaaretefillah.org  or (917) 692-3919

Both Full & Associate Members purchasing seats must fulfill their past dues obligations from the current or previous years, and Full Members must be current with their Building Fund Obligation. If you are not current, you must make financial arrangements to do so with our Treasurer, Jon Mantell.
